The Sire is a heterozygous metallic steel blue-based black lace HMPK which was bred by my friend Eugenio Fornasiero from Italy. He has a big-sized caudal with a good overall form. The Dame is balanced steel blue HMPK from my own line.
With this outcross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be (metallic) steel blue-based fish with a chance of black lace, marble and red wash to pop up.

31/08/18: The pair spawned.
01/09/18: The fry hatched.
03/09/18: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
05/09/18: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.
18/09/18: 2.5 weeks old:

28/09/18: 4 weeks old:

31/10/18: 8 weeks old. The fry were divided over two grow-out tanks. Culled several extreme rosetails.

18/11/18 : 10 weeks old!
