The Sire is darkbody yellow HMPK with a nicely shaped body and balanced finnage. The caudal has a pretty good D-shape although the outer rays of the upper part could be slightly longer. The front of the dorsal is nicely directed forward and the anal fin and ventrals have a good shape and length. The dame is darkbody red HMPK. She is bred by my friends Michiel and Alanna van Bemmel (Fishfulthinkinig) and descents from a darkbody red HMPK of their line crossed to an F2 darkbody yellow of my line. The mother of the Dame was a full sibling to the parents of the Sire. The dame has a nice bodyshape, smooth topline and balanced finnage.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be light- and darkbody red or yellow.

28/11/21: The pair spawned.
29/11/21: The fry hatched.
30/11/21: The fry entered the free-swimming stage and the Sire was removed.

12/12/21: Fry at 2 weeks of age.

19/12/21: The fry are now 3 weeks old. I moved them over two seperate tanks to promote their growth. As expected there are darkbody red and darkbody yellow fry.
