The Sire is a cambodian-based yellow HMPK with a nice intense color and minimal iridescence and black scaling. His form is really amazing and he became Best of Show Male at the National Betta Show in Solihull (UK) and the Holland Betta Show 2019 in Arcen  (NL). He has a very good D-shaped caudal fin, a nice trapezoid shaped anal vin and a voluminous dordal with nice, long front rays which are directed forward during flaring. The ventrals have a good length and volume. The Dame is a darkbody yellow HMPK and was a kind gift of my friend Maria Örnberg from the United Kingdom. The same shows minimal traces of iridescence, a good bodyshape and balanced finnage. Ideally the base of the dorsal fin could be a bit broader.
With this cross I hope to fix the intense color, the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be dark- and lightbody yellow HMPK.

27/08/19: The pair spawned.
28/08/19: The fry hatched.
30/08/19: Removed the Sire, the fry has entered the free-swimming stage. 
31/08/19: 3 days old and feeding well on vinegar eels.

17/11/19: 12 weeks old!

22/12/19: Dark- and lightbody yellow HMPK brothers (16 weeks old)!

14/02/19: Stunning dark- and lightbody yellow HMPK siblings (24 weeks old)!

11/09/20: Darkbody yellow HMPK male and lightbody yellow HMPK female from this spawn at 55 weeks of age!

At the virtual Bettas4all Show - May 2020 this male won one prize:
- 1st M2 Asymmetrical HMPK Male - Unicolor Non-Iridescent AOC

At the virtual Holland Betta Show - August 2020 the female won three prizes:
- Reserve Best of Show Female
- 1st F2/F3 HMPK Female - Unicolor Non-Iridescent
- Public Prize F2/F3 HMPK Female - Unicolor Non-Iridescent

09/10/20: Yellow HMPK F1 uncle at 57 weeks of age with an Darkbody yellow HMPK F2 neice at 30 weeks of age.
