The Sire is an intense black traditional PK. He is has a strong body and peduncle with good shaped finnage. The mouth-to-dorsal topline needs attention. The Dame is an intense black HM and a proven plakat-carrier. With this cross I hope to fix (1) the intense black color in my fishroom with the least iridescence and traces of red possible and (2) too boost the finnage in the direction of HM PK.
The offspring (F1) will be intense black. Colorwise I would speculate that there is a chance of both solid black as red fish popping up as well as black/red bicolors. There is a chance of both long- and shortfinned fish to pop-up.

27/08/10: The fry has hatched!
29/08/10: Fry in the free-swimming stage. The Sire was removed. The fry is already feeding on newly hatched BBS.

01/10/10: The fry is now 6 weeks old and starting to show some red in the finnage.
