The Sire is a royal blue HMPK with good bodyshape, a broad based dorsal which is nicely directed forward, a nice shaped anal fin and nicely matching ventrals. The caudal is spreading >180 degrees but ideally could have a more smooth appearance. The dame is a turquoise HMPK with an amazing color and finnage. Both fish are related in their background.

With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be from non-metallic turquoise and royal blue with a chance of black lace, red wash and marble to pop up.

26/02/22: The pair spawned.
27/02/22: The fry hatched.
29/02/22: The fry entered the free-swimming stage and the Sire was removed.
18/04/22: The fry are now 7-weeks old! As expected the fry are  turquoise and royal blue based fish.

06/06/22: 15-week old royal blue and turquoise HMPKs. Absolutely love this view.
