The Sire is steel blue based HMPK with a clear black lace underlayer. He has a nice strong body with balanced finnage. The caudal has a pretty good D-shape, but the outer rays could be a bit longer in order to get more sharp corners. He shows a nice broad-based dosal and parallel anal fin. The Dame is a halfisbling to the male as both share the same father. She has a nice long body with a smooth topline and very nice balanced finnage (nice D-shaped caudal fin).
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be steel blue based HMPKs with a chance of black lace and marbles to pop up.

22/10/15: The pair spawned smoothly.
23/10/15: The fry hatched. Seems like a small spawn of ~10 fry.
25/10/15: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
04/12/15: The fry is now 6 weeks old and feeding well on tubifex.
