The sire is showing a strong HM tail with rosetail features (still showing 180 degree spread after 8 months!).  The female is a metallic blue 4-ray SD (nearly HM spread) with a sailfin dorsal from one of my best spawns uptill now.
This pair is an outcross in order to improve the dorsal and anal finnage of my original copper line. This pair could produce some nice offspring (F1) with some great finnage because of fantastic ray-splitting of both sire and dame. This pair can produce metallics, copper/golds and platinum whites. There is a chance some DTs will pop-up.

22/01/05: Pair spawned!
23/01/05: Eggs hatched, it looks like the male is taking care well.
26/01/05: Youngsters in free-swimming stage, male removed. It looks like this is a pretty big spawn!
01/02/05: Youngsters are feeding well on artemia.

16/02/05: Fry now 3,5 week old.

09/03/05: The fry is now 6,5 week old and developing good. It looks like there are platinums and metallic blues.

13/03/05: Made another picture of the fry (now 7 weeks old). Some of the platinum whites are starting to show some red in their finnage.

27/03/05: The spawn is developing well, it seems that there are some very nice females in this spawn. The spawn was moved to a bigger grow-out tank.

13/04/05: Today I discovered 2 plakat males in the grow-out tank, one copper and one platinum white. I made a picture (bit unsharp and not in full spread) of the platinum white only a few hours after jarring. I was surprised to find out that this fish already is a HM plakat.

22/04/05: The two plakat males are developing great! Both have HM finnage. The platinum white plakat is starting to show some wash in the finnage and the copper plakat has some underlying red wash. I succeeded to make a picture of both active fish:

27/04/05: Made some new pictures of the platinum HM plakat male (both sides). He is now 14 weeks old.

29/04/05: I also discovered a platinum plakat female from this spawn:

30/05/05: Made a new picture of the platinum white PK HM male (see right picture above). The male already succesfully spawned (see BT210505).

09/10/05: One fish of this spawn was send to the 4th EHBBC show in Duisburg, Germany:
- Platinum pastel HM PK male - 26th place PK male Multi class (PK3)
The offspring of this male did an awsome job at the show (see BT210505).
