The Sire is a black dragon HMPK from Thailand with a very thick and solid silvery metallic layer and promising finnage. The Dame is a strong-bodied metallic blue HM PK female which goes back to my own line. She has a nice smooth topline, strong peduncle, good D-shaped caudal fin and a nicely parallel anal fin.
The goal of this cross is mainly to fix the strong bodies & quality finnage as well as the metallic/"dragon" color in the offspring.
The offspring (F1) will be HM PK.

The Sire is also father of: BT070312A.

20/02/12: The pair spawned!
21/02/12: The fry hatched. Looks like a pretty large spawn with ~100 fry.

23/02/12: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
25/02/12: The fry is feeding well on BBS.

29/04/12: The fry is now 10 weeks old and transferred to a bigger grow-out tank. They show a nice metallic iridescent layer. As expected there are a few rosetails.

12/05/12: The fry is now 12 weeks old. The metallic/dragon scaling is getting thicker and more solid. Culled about 15 rosetails.

03/06/12: The fry is now 15 weeks old.

14/07/12: Four young males, now 20 weeks old.

13/09/12: Some potential breeders, now 29 weeks old.

06/10/12: One male and one female from this spawn were send to the 2nd Betta Freaks Show in Dortmund, Germany. Both won a prize:
-
2nd Asymmetrical HM PK male class - AOC (darkbody)
- 2nd Halfmoon plakat female class - Unicolor
