The Sire is a heterozygous metallic royal blue marble HM PK with a thick body and a strong peduncle. The finnage is nicely balanced with a strong caudal, nice shaped anal a very broad-based dorsal. The Dame is a non-metallic royal blue mask with impressive balanced finnage. Interestingly, the mother of the sire is a full sister of the father of the dame.
The offspring (F1) will be HM PK. Because of the broad-dorsals of both parents, there is a chance of DTPKs to pop-up. The offspring probably will be either heterozygous or homozygous metallic. As both parent are royal blue based there is a chance of steel blue, turquoise or royal blue offspring. Based on the background of both fish there is a chance of blacks to pop-up. Some fry might show marbling.

21/02/09: The fry hatched.
23/02/09: Fry in the free-swimming stage. The Sire was removed.

24/12/08: The fry is feeding well on BBS.

15/03/08: The fry is now 3 weeks old! Have spotted a few DTs in this spawn.

12/04/09: The fry is now is 7,5 week old and was transferred to a bigger grow-out. Looks there are some melano blacks among the fry. Some fry also are marbling. Some fry show some nice dorsals.

06/05/09: The fry are now 10 weeks old and I jarred the first youngster yesterday. Here a picture of this guy:

12/07/09: The youngsters are now 20 weeks old! Found two promising females:
