The Sire is cambodian-based extended red HMPK with a strong body. He has a a very nice shaped, broad dorsal. The caudal fin has a good 180 degree spread with nice long outer rays. The anal fin is nicely parallel to the body but still a bit too long. The Dame is also cambodian-based extended red and a full sister to the male. She also has a nice broad dorsal, caudal fin and nicely short anal fin. Both fish come from my 100th spawn. With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, broad dorsals and quality finnage in my red HM PK line. The offspring (F2) will be cambodian based red HM PKs with a chance of HM DTs popping up.

18/05/11: The pair spawned! There is a huge amount of eggs in the nest.
19/05/11: Although the male ate some of the eggs, about 40 fry hatched.
21/05/11: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
22/05/11: The fry is feeding well on BBS.
29/05/11: The fry is now 10 days old and I have spotted several DT among the fry!
13/07/11: The fry are now 8 weeks old and developing nicely.

26/07/11: The fry are now 10 weeks old.

15/08/11: The fry are now 12 weeks old. Made a picture of a HMPK and a DTPK male I jarred, and two more pictures from fish from the grow-out tank.
