The Sire is big-bodied blue mask HM PK. He could be either homozygous metallic royal blue (++ Blbl, also called teal) or homozygous metallic turquoise (++ BlBl). Special thanks to Sabrina Dichne for bringing this male for me! The Dame is a copper (++ blbl) with a nice parallel anal. 
The offspring (F1) will be HM PK. I hope to find out the underlying blue type of the male. In case of a teal background of the male the offspring will be either teal or copper. In case of homozygous metallic turquoise the offspring will be 100% teal.

17/10/08: Pair spawned.
18/10/08: Fry hatched! The pair spawned again!

19/10/08: Fry of the first batch in free-swimming stage, fry of the second batch hatched!
22/10/08: All fry free-swimming. Removed the sire.
29/10/08: The fry is feeding well on artemia/BBS!

21/11/08: The fry is now 5 weeks old and starting to show some metallic iridescence. Today the fry was transferred to a bigger grow-out.

14/12/08:  The fry is now little over 8 weeks old and all of the offspring seems to be the same metallic blue color. This could mean that the male was a turquoise based homozygous metallic based fish. Considering the fact that the female is a copper (homozygous metallic steel blue) this should mean that all the offspring should be homozygous metallic royal blue based. I have jarred 8 males of this spawn (see below):

17/01/09:  Made a picture of a promising young male from this spawn now 13 weeks old. The fry of this spawn shows an impressive thick scaling with a very nice masking.
