The Sire is a metallic steel blue HMPK with a strong body, smooth topline and balanced appearance. The caudal fin has a >180 degree spread. The dorsal,  anal fin and ventrals are nicely matching the rest of the fish. The Dame is a metallic royal blue HMPK with a nice torpedo shaped body, smooth topline and balanced finnage (D-shaped caudal and parallel anal fin although the dorsal fin ideally could be a bit broader at the base). The Dame is a half-sister to the male. The female has a strong body, although her topline ideally could be a bit smoother. She has a nice broad-based doral fin, good caudal spread and nice shaped anal fin.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be (non-)metallic steel blue and royal blue based HMPKs. 

17/03/14: The pair spawned. Eggs in the nest.
18/03/14: The fry hatched. Seems to be a small spawn.
20/03/14: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
22/03/14: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.
13/07/14: 18 weeks old.

12/09/14: Two males, 25 weeks old.

21/12/14: Breeder female, now 40 weeks old. Love her color and overall form.

29/03/15: The royal blue female from above was send to the European IBC convention in Friedrichshafen and became 1st Show Plakat Female, Best of Variety Shortfin Female & Best of Show Female!!
