The Sire is a royal blue HMPK with a nice asymmetrical HMPK shape. He has a big-sized caudal and a broad-based dorsal. The dame is a steel blue HMPK with a good bodyshape, a smooth mouth-to-dorsal topline with nicely balanced finnage. 
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be royal blue and steel blue based HMPK with a chance of black lace, melano black, red wash and/or marble to pop up.

18/11/19: Removed the Sire, the fry has entered the free-swimming stage. 
25/11/19: 1 week old fry feeding well on newly hatched BBS.

22/11/20: Some 10 week old fry of this spawn together with some fry of BT161119A.

01/04/20: Two HMPK brothers, one steel blue melano black and the other royal blue black lace, at 19 weeks of age.

11/09/20: Royal blue HMPK male at 43 weeks of age!
At the virtual Holland Betta Show - August 2020 this male won two prizes:
