The Sire is a heterozygous metallic steel blue-based black lace HMPK which was bred by my friend Eugenio Fornasiero from Italy. He has a big-sized caudal with a good overall form. The Dame is balanced black lace HMPK from my own line.
With this outcross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be (metallic) steel blue-based fish with a chance of black lace, marble and red wash to pop up.

15/09/18: The pair spawned.
16/09/18: The fry hatched, seems like a spawn of ~20 fry.
18/09/18: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
20/09/18: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.

18/11/18 : 8 weeks old!

08/12/18 : All males have been jarred.

29/12/18 : Pictures of two young HMPK males with a nice potential at 16 weeks of age!

13/05/19: Three fish from this spawn, one male and two females were send to the 11th Betta Freaks Show in Kalkar - Germany. All won a prize!

19/05/19 : Pictures of a potential breeding pair and some nice close-ups at 36 weeks of age!

25/06/19: The male which became second at the show in Kalkar - Germany, was also send to the National Betta Show in Solihull - United Kingdom. He also won a prize here!
