Red Copper Marble HMPK

(Breeder unknown, Indonesia)
Galaxy Koi HMPK

(Breeder unknown, Indonesia)

The Sire is a red copper marble HMPK with a strong body, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The caudal has a good D-shape although his outer rays ideally could be a bit longer in order to create sharper corners. The dorsal has a good volume with the front rays directed forward. The anal fin has a nice trapezoid shape and the ventral fins have a nice length, volume and shape. The dame is a galaxy koi HMPK from unknown descent. The has a very nice torpedo-shaped body, color and finnage.
The background of both parents is unknown. Both were imported from Indonesia by Living Colors Waterwold, the Hague (NL).

With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, the smooth topline and the balanced finnage.
The offspring (F1) will be likely be multicolored with a big change of galaxy koi marbles to pop up.

12/04/22: The pair spawned.
13/04/22: The fry hatched.
14/04/22: The fry entered the free-swimming stage and the Sire was removed.
24/05/22: 6 weeks old! All fry look like metallic blue/reds and are developing nicely!

01/06/22: At 7 weeks of age the fry were divided over two grow-out tanks.

07/06/22: Although most of the fry still have a metallic blue/red appearance, the first marbles are popping up at 8 weeks of age.

01/06/22: At 12 weeks old some really nice colorchanges are happening in the tank!!

15/08/22: 18-week old marble fry developing nicely!

25/09/22: Some amazing colorpatterns in these 24-week old brothers!!
