The Sire is vital heterozygotic metallic royal blue (Blbl +nm) (o)HM plakat  with a good balanced appearance. The dame is a  heterozygotic steel blue (blbl +nm) PK female and a spawn sibling to the male.
The offspring (F2) will be HM PK with a chance of getting DT PKs. Colorwise the outcome of this spawn should theoretically be as follows:

12.5% Steel blue (blbl nmnm), 12.5% Royal blue (Blbl nmnm), 25% Heterozygous metallic steel blue (blbl + nm, 25% Heterozygous metallic royal blue (Blbl +nm), 12.5% Copper (blbl ++), 12.5% Teal (Blbl ++). There is a chance some marbles pop-up.

11/03/06: Pair spawned, a big amount of eggs are there.
12/03/06: The eggs hatched. Seems to be a big spawn, there are defenitely 100+ fry. This shows again that this line is very vital as both parents also came from a 100+ spawn.
14/03/06: Youngsters in free-swimming stage. Removed the Sire.
17/03/06: The fry are feeding on microworms and artemia.
24/03/06: The first DTs could be spotted!

02/04/06: The fry is 3 weeks old now and developing nicely. Some of them already start showing a bit of a blueish/metallic color.

12/04/06: The fry has been moved to a bigger grow-out tank and is developing nicely.

10/05/06: The youngsters are now 9 weeks old an are divided over 2 big grow out tanks. There are metallic blues, copper/golds, masks and marbles. Yesterday I jarred the first 4 males. These males show a great potential. Here some pictures:

28/05/06: Two pictures of young males of this spawn now 12 weeks old:

01/06/06: A piebald DT PK female and the best HM PK male from this spawn:

14/07/06: These youngsters are now 18 weeks old. I still discovered a late developing male in the female grow-out. I think this one has a very good potential.

27/07/06: Two potential male breeders for the next generation:

12/08/06: Made some more pictures of fish from this spawn:

30/08/06: 3 fish of this spawn was send to the 1st Bettas4all Show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands:

- Metallic blue PK male - 1st place HM PK Unicolor (PK 3) class
-
Metallic blue DT PK male - 2nd place DT Uni- + Multicolor (DT1 + 2) class
-
Metallic blue PK female - 2nd place PK female (PK FEM) class
- Copper/gold HM PK male -
3rd place HM PK Unicolor (PK 3) class

15/09/06: The following pair are good candidates for the second generation of this line (F3). I love the shape of the anal finnage of the male and hope that this trait can be passed on the the next generations.

05/03/07: 1 fish of this spawn was send to the 8th EHBBC show in Hannover, Germany:

- Steel blue PK female - 3rd place PK female (PK FEM) class
