The Sire is a royal blue HMPK with a nice long bodyshape and good topline which was bred by my friend Eugenio Fornasiero. He was the result from a cross between a metallic blue HMPK male from Eugenio's line with a steel blue HMPK female from BT291213. The caudal has a nice D-shape with long outer rays. The anal has a good trapezoid shape with a gradual slope. The dorsal is uniform rounded and ideally could have a bit more volume with a broader base. The ventrals have a nice length and single tips. The male was awarded 1st place in his class at the 7th Betta Freaks show in Kalkar, Germany (April 2015). The Dame is blonde blue HMPK with a nice strong body, smooth topline and very nice balanced finnage (nice D-shaped caudal fin and parallel anal fin). She was awarded reserve Best of Show in the European IBC convention in Friedrichshafen Germany (March 2015).
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage.
The offspring (F1) likely will be darkbody (metallic) iridescent with a chance of blondes and marbles to pop up.
