The Sire is a great intense red HM PK. He is an F2 from my own line and the first fish which shows a shape going into the direction of HM PK. The anal and ventrals are still too long but the bodyshape, caudal, and dorsal already have a great shape. The Dame is nice clean red with a good caudal spread and nicely parallel anal. She is the result (F1) of combining the HM PK and symmetrical PK cross of Satornbetta (Thailand).
The offspring (F1) will be 100% red with a good chance of HM PKs popping up. Hopefully the anal finnage will be more in balance.

The Sire is also father of BT030408. 

10/02/08: Pair spawned but only shortly resulting in a very small amount of eggs in the nest.
11/02/08: Initially I thought all the eggs were gone but I was very happy to see a few youngsters hatched!
13/02/08: Fry in the free-swimming stage. Removed the Sire.
06/02/08: The youngsters have been growing well on a combination of artemia, frozen blood worms and granulate (Betta Pro and Red Tiny Bits). There are 16 fry left and the first two males start to show their full red bodies.

02/05/08: This spawn is now about 12 weeks old and growing nicely! I have jarred the first three males which look very promising. Their finnage defenitely goes in the direction of HM PK. The color seems to show a bit more blue iridescence than the father.

30/06/08: Made some new pictures of the males of this spawn! I personally really love the upper left male, as he has a great bodyshape and volume and nice balanced finnage.

14/07/08: Three fish from this spawn were send to the 1st NBC show in Dunkerque, France. Two of them won prices:
- 2nd place Solid color asymmetrical show PK class
- 3rd place Solid color asymmetrical show PK class

12/10/08: Two females from this spawn were send to the 11th EHBBC show in Duisburg, Germany. One of them won a prize:
- 2nd place Non-iridescent Female class
