The Sire is a non-metallic steel blue HMPK. He has a good bodyshape with a smooth topline. He has a D-shaped caudal fin, nice anal fin and ventrals. The dorsal has a pretty good shape but ideally the base could be a bit broader. The Dame is a half-sister to the male. The female has a strong body, although her topline ideally could be a bit smoother. She has a nice broad-based doral fin, good caudal spread and nice shaped anal fin.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be (metallic) steel blue and royal blue based HMPKs. 

09/05/14: The pair spawned. Eggs in the nest.
10/05/14: The fry hatched. Seems to be a small spawn.
12/05/14: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
15/05/14: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.
04/05/14: 8 weeks old.

05/09/14: 17 weeks old.

21/12/14: Breeder female, now 32 weeks old. Love her color and overall form.

22/01/14: Potential breeder female. A steel blue based black lace, now 37 weeks old.
