The Sire is a steel blue HMPK. His caudal has a pretty good D-shape but overall the form still needs a lot of work (especially the anal and dorsal finnage). The Dame a strongbodied steel blue black lace HMPK female with a smooth topline and balanced finnage. The caudal is nicely D-shaped, the dorsal has a nice broad base (front rays bit short) and the anal is nicely parallel to the body. The Sire and Dame are half-siblings as they have the same father.  
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) likely will be steel and royal blue HMPK with a chance of black lace and marble to pop up.

08/02/17: The pair spawned.
09/02/17: The fry hatched.
11/02/17: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male. Seems to be quite a big spawn!

12/02/17: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.
27/04/17: 11 weeks old! There are both royal and steel blue fry. There are also some DTPKs.

20/05/17: 15 weeks old!

07/07/17: 21 weeks old!
