The Sire and Dame are siblings from a spawn which was very homogenous both color as finnage wise. The pair was selected because of their strong bodies and promising finnage.
The goal of this cross is mainly to isolate fish with strong bodies & quality finnage as well as a solid (metallic) iridescent color. The offspring (F2 ) will be HM PK.

The Sire became 1st placed in the  Asymmetrical HM PK male class - Unicolor (iridescent) at the 1st Betta Freaks Show in Frechen, Germany. The Dame became 2nd placed in the HMPK female class - All Colors.

07/03/12: The pair spawned!
08/03/12: The fry hatched.
11/03/12: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
13/03/12: The fry is feeding well on BBS.
17/03/12: Made a picture of a 1.5 week old fry.

29/04/12: The fry is now 8 weeks old and transferred to a bigger grow-out tank.

12/05/12: The fry is now 9 weeks old.

03/06/12: The fry is now almost 13 weeks old and I think I will have to start jarring soon. See some promising fish in this spawn.

14/07/12: Two young males, now 18 weeks old.

02/09/12: Two HMPK males of this spawn were send to the Holland Betta Show 2012 in Arcen, The Netherlands. Both of them won a prize:
- 2nd Asymmetrical Halfmoon Plakat males - Iridescent
- 5th Asymmetrical Halfmoon Plakat males - Iridescent

03/09/12: Picture of a potential future breeder female!

06/10/12: One male and one female from this spawn were send to the 2nd Betta Freaks Show in Dortmund, Germany. The male won a prize:
- 1st Asymmetrical HM PK male class - Unicolor (darkbody)
