Sire:
Black dragon HM PK

The Sire is a black dragon HMPK from Thailand with a very thick and solid silvery metallic layer and promising finnage. The Dame is a copper CT which I borrowed from my friend Michel Stokkelaar (Nightshift).
With this cross I would like to introduce metallic/dragon into my crowntail plakat line which is still fully under construction. The offspring (F1) will most likely be most likely longfinned (PK carrier) darkbody red with a varying reduction in webbing.

The Sire is also father of: BT200212.

07/03/12: The pair spawned!
08/03/12: The fry hatched.
11/03/12: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
13/03/12: The fry is feeding well on BBS.
17/03/12: Made a picture of a 1.5 week old fry.

29/04/12: The fry is now 8 weeks old and showing a clear black underlayer.

12/05/12: The fry is now 12 weeks old and were transferred to a bigger grow-out. Looks like all fry are copper-based.

03/06/12: At 13 weeks I decided to cull the entire spawn due to the fact that the majority of the fry had quite serious spoonheads and lacked ventral fins. As both parents were bred before in different combinations with good results, this is an example of a combination which unfortunately did not work out as planned.
