The Sire is lightbody yellow HMPK with a nice bodyshape (although body is slightly short). The caudal has a nice D-shape with a smooth appearance. The anal has a good trapazoid shape, the dorsal has a good volume with the front rays nicely directed forward. The ventrals have a good length and volume.The Dame is a darkbody extended red with a strong, long body, smooth topline and balanced finnage. She might be carrying orange as two of her siblings where orange.
With this cross I hope to fix the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be HMPK. Colorwise there likely will be dark- and lightbody reds with with a chance of orange (and maybe yellow?) to pop-up.

06/11/16: The pair spawned.
07/11/16: The fry hatched.
08/11/16: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
10/11/16: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.
08/01/17: The fry is 9 weeks old. There are light- and darkbody red, orange and yellow fry!

04/02/17: 13 weeks old.

13/03/17: Six brothers now 18 weeks old. Love the color diversity in this spawn.
