The Sire is a non-metallic melano steel blue HM PK. He is has a very good overall balance, strong body and impressive broad dorsal. The anal is pretty parallel to the body and and the ventrals have a good full volume. The Dame is a strong black lace metallic blue HM PK. He is an F2 of my own line and was bred by my friend Farian Suryana (Bettaimage). The Dame is a full sister of the sire used in BT170110. There is a good chance she is also carrying melano black. The goal of this cross is obvious to breed blacks with amazing finnage!
The offspring (F1) will be HM PK. The color of the fry will be steel blue or royal blue based (depending on the iridescent type of the female) possibly in combination with black melano or black lace. Considering the background of both fish, there is a chance some fish will be marbles.

The Sire is also father of BT230210B.

03/04/10: The pair spawned! There are a lot of eggs in the nest!
04/04/10: Although the father ate quite a lot of the eggs about 20-30 fry seems to have hatched.
05/04/10: Fry in the free-swimming stage. The Sire was removed. The fry is immediatly feeding on newly hatched artemia/BBS.
08/04/10: Managed to take a picture of a 5 day old fry:

13/05/10: The fry was divided over 2 grow-out tanks.
03/06/10: The fry is now 9 weeks old and developing nicely.

13/06/10: The fry is now 10 weeks old and was transferred to a bigger grow-out.
