The Sire is cambodian-based metallic orange colored fish which I found in a local pet store. He shows a nice intense orange color and a slight butterfly rim in the caudal. Finnage-wise he need some work as the caudal is a bit in between VT and delta. The Dame is a darkbody yellow, smooth topline and balanced finnage. She is a full sibling to the male.
With this cross I hope to fix the intense color with minimal iridescence as well as the strong bodies, smooth topline and balanced finnage. The offspring (F1) will be VT. The offspring (F1) likely will be dark-, lightbody red, orange and/or yellow with a chance of dalmatians to pop up.

02/02/18: The pair spawned. The finnage of the male got pretty damaged during the process.
03/02/18: The fry hatched.
05/02/18: The fry entered the free-swimming stage. Removed the male.
08/02/18: The fry is feeding well on vinegar eels and BBS.

17/04/18: 11 weeks old. Some interesting colorcombinations are popping up!

25/05/18: 16 weeks old!

03/06/18: 16 weeks old brothers!
